I would be grateful for any suggestions you might have as to how to correct this.
I would be happy to again reinstall all the drivers, but I don't know of any program put out by Creative to uninstall ALL of the Creative program AND registry components on my computer One of these two Windows 10 computers is a dual boot setup, and there has never been an issue when booting up the Windows 7 Pro 64-bit partition.

Is it a Windows 10 issue? Is it a Microsoft or Creative driver issue? Does it have something to do with the way Windows 10 impacts power settings when shutting down and rebooting Windows 10?
I am bafffled as to what is going on here. I have also disabled automatic hardware driver updates within Windows 10. I have scoured the internet looking for solutions, but I come up empty every time. I thought that maybe it was a speaker issue, but I ALWAYS get sound back after restoring default settings via the Creative Audio Control Panel. I have tried adjusting output formats, changing out optical cables.anything that I can think of.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers reinstalling drivers, DTS connect pack, Dolby digital Live, etc. This isn't a consistent phenomenon and the ONLY way I can get the sound back is to launch the Creative Audio control panel, click Restore Defaults, and then choose either DTS or Dolby Digital Live. The lights on the speaker display light up as if sound will come from the speakers but no sound plays. And the computers are never running at the same time.Īt random times, after shutting down either computer and rebooting, no sound comes from the speakers. Įach of the two sound cards is connected via optical out to different optical in ports on the back of my Logitech Z906 5.1 speaker system. I have 2 of these cards, each on a different computer running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit using driver XFTI_PCDRV_L11_2_40_0019.exe from. I have had a persistent issue with my Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Champion (PCI express) sound cards. I apologize if this issue has been previously posted about.
